Joining the Manchester Women’s Rounders League

We’re excited to share a big milestone for Altrincham All-Rounders – this season we’re officially joining the Manchester Women’s Rounders League (MWRL) for the first time.

Since the club was founded in May 2025, the team has grown quickly, with more players joining and training together each week. After a year of friendly matches and tournaments, it felt like the perfect time to take the next step and enter the league.

A New Challenge for the Team

Joining the league gives our players the opportunity to take part in regular competitive matches against other women’s teams across the Manchester area. It’s a great chance to test our skills, continue improving as a team, and enjoy the experience of playing more structured fixtures throughout the season.

For many of our players, this will be their first time playing in a league, which makes it an exciting challenge as well as a great opportunity to grow as a club.

Still a Social and Inclusive Team

While joining the league is a big step forward, the spirit of Altrincham All-Rounders remains the same. We’re still a friendly, welcoming team that focuses on fun, teamwork, and creating a supportive environment for everyone involved.

League matches are completely optional, and players can choose whether they want to play competitively or simply come along to training and enjoy the social side of the club.

Looking Ahead to the Season

We’re really looking forward to the upcoming season and the chance to represent Altrincham in the Manchester Women’s Rounders League. It’s another exciting chapter in the story of the club, and we can’t wait to see what the team can achieve.
